Today all the rain caused one of the ponds back campus to overflow. Dave closed the woods and trails because it’s too dangerous back there with all the water flooding the woods and running down into the creek. Of course I went back there the first chance I got to see all the water.
I couldn’t get far into the woods at all; the trail had turned into a stream of its own, and the water threatened to flow over my boots. I walked out onto the pipe over the creek, which may not have been wise in wet weather with nobody knowing where I was. The creek actually wasn’t impressive at all... I’d been hoping to see that it had been turned into rapids, but apparently when Dave said it had “breached” its banks he meant “it’s a couple inches higher than normal.”
